Default Anyone own A* GP Tech gloves?

Does anyone own Alpinestars GP Tech gloves? What do you think of these?

I had the GP Plus's and I thought they were awesome but I wanted something a little 'fancier'.

I know I'm being a bitch about matching colors and **** but... I currently have a black A* SP-S and they're great short gloves and I have some blue J.Rocket SpeedMasters for my old blue A* TZ-1 jacket but they're kinda loose fitting and well... they're blue. My current jacket is black and I use my black SP-S's but I want a gauntlet.

Anyone have one for sale or know where I can buy the GP Tech's for cheap? I see them for around $215.

Cycle City usually has em as does Spectrum Honda/Motorsports.

Personally, I'd wait 2 weeks and see what specials are at the bike show.

BTW - GP+ gloves are my glove of choice, I didn't get these because I don't need the venting in winter.

If youre using these gloves for the street, stick with the GP Plus. The GP Techs are way too stiff for street use and they stay stiff even after breaking in.

If you really want the vents you can go for hte gp pro's. I have a pair of pro's and pluses and I like the pluses better. They're just more comfortable.

I haven't had a chance to use these gloves for long trips. I still have them sitting here. But they were very nice quality gloves that vented well. They are a little on the stiff side. Other than that, they fit very well to your hand except for the fact that you know it's own because of the bulkiness.

I have a pair of GP Tech's, and would have to agree with big pete here.

If the GP Techs are too stiff and won't break in... what about the GP Pro's?

they fit almost like the GP Plus but with more venting and plastic knuckles. Some people complain about the plastic knuckles because they either dig into their hand or are uncomfortable. Try them out and you might like them better than the GP Plus. Cant go wrong either way

So... I got to do a side by side on some new A* GP Plus' and the new Joe Rocket Speedmaster 5.0's.

First of all I noticed that the Large A* fit me perfectly, kinda snug. But the Joe Rocket's had to be a Med to fit the same. I guess Joe's just come in bigger sizes.

Also, on the JR's, I noticed that the rectangular ring where the hook and loop strap goes through above the wrist was digging into my hand just below the wrist on full throttle. Very uncomfortable. Also I didn't like the rubber part that wraps around the wrist. Looks and feels too Power Rangers.

The A* was great in feel overall but was kinda stiff. The same feel I had when I owned my 1st pair of GP+. Only thing I don't like about the +'s are the yellow, I'm assuming kevlar, stitching. Minor asthetic issues that all.

I still wanna try on some Teknics before I make a decision. I hear Held's are awesome but don't know anywhere I can try them on.

Got some, crashed in them and they held up ok. Not the best, not the worst. Very tight cuff IMO
