what would you do with your license plate? and what about your tail lights? It blocks the visibility of it. seems like your asking for a ticket if you put your bike like that... but a cool product

I just helped my buddy put his together and load his bike onto his X5. it is a great carrier, but it did block his turn signals and tail lights. Mototote does make a light kit for about $60 that you can easily attach to the hitch, but my buddy needed the set right away so he bought a generic brand light kit for even less($30-$40) that works just fine.

like mad1 says you can get the light kit from mototote or you can buy a generic one at many hardware stores thats designed for small trailers or whatever.

also i believe the mototote has a license plate bracket on the back so you just move your license plate over. I'm not sure though since I have never opened the thing but thats what the people at mototote told me.

i bought a truck so I don't need this anymore but I'm sure someone does...

I think M3s are rated for like 1000lbs towing. How bad *** would that be?

Probably wouldn't hold 600lbs in tongue weight.

Yeah that would be sick, an M3 with an R1 on the back

Funny story - I was reading Hot Rod magazine, they had a street car shootout. This guy drove his Corvette Z06 to the track, it had a trailer hitch and a little trailer that held a pair of slicks, a pair of skinnies, some tools and a jack. His Corvette went like 10.9 I think, trailer hitch and all.

Back on topic: If anyone wants this and isn't local, don't worry - it's still all boxed up from when I received it, never been opened. So it's ready to ship!

I don't really understand how you'd load, unload, and lock the bike into place.

it has a ramp that slots into the side that you push the bike up... then you attach the ramp to the carrier. there are hooks for tie-downs on the carrier...
