SO this weekend me and my friend went to Kent to check out Pitstop, a new shop that opened up and to meet a friend of mine from Kirkland. So it's mid-afternoon cruising to Pitstop and we see this gold 94-97 teg with 5 lug and gunmetal ITR wheels and the entire 00 black ITR frontend and what am i supposed to think, OMG stolen ITR right there! Then we are on our way home after meeting up with my friend, we live way up North, and after leaving Pitstop we spot a red 98+ teg with 5 lug and gunmetal ITR wheels, and it had the black ITR front bumper and lip, like OMG another stolen ITR!! SOOOOO if you HAD a black ITR with gunmetal stock wheels and it got stolen, I would suggent going to Kent and checking out some tegs cuz there are 2 tegs with 5 lug and ITR fronts rolling around.

 

I guess they 'could have' purchased (legally) those items... but chances are they were stolen.

 

Did you get the plates or the owners names?

Any chance you could swing back by and check under the hoods (missing VIN plates)?

 

if any of you go into that area, might want to think twice about bringing your R...unless you want to bait them and kill them when they come to jack your car.

Yes. The reason why I agree with this statement is that I grew up in the area. Lived in Kent for about 20 years. There was this group of little wanna be jackers in the Convington area but they discovered pot so they don't do cars anymore.

I was living in this studio apartment on Kent East Hill, right across the street from Sequoia Junior High School. Place was called La Marage. That whole area of Kent is very heavily populated with Russians and Ukrainians (spelling?) and more times than not, I'd come out of my apartment to see Russian dudes looking over my GSR I had at the time. One ****** tried steeling the rims one morning. However, I was getting up around 4:30 in the morning to go to work.

My question, like the guy above had mentioned: Why didn't you get the license plate numbers for just in case purposes? That would save valuable time if there was in fact a Type R missing in the Seattle area.

you're an idiot. Everyone with a 5lug must jack cars right? Is this the first time you've been to kent or something? go there on a friday/saturday night and you will see lots of cars with a 5lug conversion or 96+ front ends on their tegs.

i hate to make racial generalizations because although there may be a high number of russians in this area that steal cars, the point is that they are ******* thieves just like any other thief. anyway, i bet that the license plate just slipped the guy's mind. unfortunately, not much can be done at this point.

not everyone that has "R" parts is a thief or the owner of stolen goods......its like "if you have R parts not on an R your put in this category of lowlifes"......some of us come across our parts all legit....true some don't.....just as it was said.... just because someone is Russian doesn't make them guilty......" I can appreciate what your trying to do by giving the heads up.......but damn....give the benefit of the doubt a little.

I get just as pissed as the next guy having my turbo charged 12 sec GSR stolen from me...so im not un-bias....i hate thieves to, but i have lots of R parts....all legit...and i have to be categorized with these ban of damn ricers that steal parts....just sucks sometimes.....sorry didn't mean to offend...just venting.

**** yeah...Any dude that comes CLOSE to my whip will get F)(*&)@)(*&#%)(* UUPPPPP!!!!!!!!.... And you know what the messed up thing was... After I heard that I went out and got a quick release...but it doesn't matter...They did it with tow trucks.

So everyone be on the lookout for suspicous tow-trucks. This is the word!!!

I know the guy that drives the "gold integra" with black R front and the gunmetal five lug, the five lug came off of one of my friends cars and the front end came off of a rear ended r from tacoma (i'm pretty sure it was tacoma) that some russian dudes bought and took the engine and interior out and sold the front end for dirt.
