ive actually thought once or twice about putting an eg dash into my hatch, but ive always wondered if its a perfect fit, or if there is going to be any gaps.

Then you have to re-wire everything, heh, should be a nice project

ef dash looks better than the eg dash imo but it seem s like it should be a better fit then the da dash.

i had a friend do it and there is no room by the steering colume.
you have to reach under to get to the ignition and the turn signals barely work.

depends, I think the EG dash looks better than the EF hatch/sedan one.....but the crx one is the king for sure, love how its orientated around the driver...

Look at a delsol dash.... It kicks major ***.

Like a friend of mine said...
"A delsol is not a CRX. It is, in fact, not even a car. Unless it is referred to as a donor car"

if you use a del sol dash in an ef, there will definately be a small gap by the pillars/doors. just about 1/4 to 1/2 inch or so. i have a friend with a del sol dash in his civic.

as with the integra dash I believe you would have problems with the door panels meeting the eg dash and would have to run without them.

I saw someone's solution to that problem IN an EG. It was a TypeR dash into an EG hatch. The Integra dash comes out farther so the door panels hit it when you close them.

This guy solved the problem by using a torch, heating up the back of the panel until it god nice and soft... then he very quickly mounted it and closed the door on the dash and left it there until cool. The panel was then molded to the dashboard.

It would probably work in an EF although you'd more than likely lose your drivers/passenger side window vents.

I'm pretty sure the EG dash shape near the door panels is not going to work with your EF. Honestly, I don't think the "heat-slam" method is going to work in this case either. The EF dash seems rather shallow compared to the EG and the door panels are deep. the difference is too big. I haven't actually had the experience of putting the EG dash in, but I am putting a '00 GSR dash in right now. I had to make some MAJOR modification to the CRX door panels in order to make it work (graft the front end of the GSR door panel onto the CRX rears and re-cover the door panel...). I ended up losing the front speakers due to lack of room, but I'm installing a tweeter near the stock GSR tweeter location.
