Default Help: 40/40 Prop Valve Install onto EG/EJ

Situation:
I have a 94 Civic DX w/ GSR front and rear suspension/brakes. I have just purchased a 40/40 Prop Valve from a DA 90-93 Integra.

Obejective:
Can someone help me with step-by-step instructions?

Thanks in advance!

Remove lines using flare wrench

Reinsert them into new prop valve

Bleed the hell ouf of the brakes

That should be about it unless you have to rebend/reflare. I don't know if you do.

dude look at the lines and just figure out what's what. disconnect and reconnect them.

you can see what lines go where, and then you know where that prop valve fits in. if you have to rebend and flare lines, it will be obvious.

from what i thought they were the same shape, even were the lines hook up.
as long as u dont have abs on your car,its dx so u shouldnt.
just unscrew the brake line bolts but be careful though, they tend to round out if they are tight.
ive had it happen with a wrench for brake lines.and thats gay when that happens.
then loosen the braket bolts and take off and reverse as removal.

Honestly, it is very straight forward. You remove the old prop valve, and replace it with this one. The brake lines are hard lines, so it is not like they will fall out of the way or lose their position on the firewall.

One other thing: If you buy one off an old integra, you have to swap the bracket from the civic on to the new proportioning valve before installing it on the firewall.

yah this is off an integra and i have a civic so they are not similar at all... i looked at an older civic with the same style prop valve and the lines were hooked up different from what i thought

You bought the wrong prop valve if you are looking for a plug and play application.

The "old" prop valve is the current one on your car, is that correct? That one looks exactly like prop valves in 96-00 Civics. If that is the case, you need 46210-S04-902. That prop valve is 4040 and will fit without modifications to the existing lines.

You need a prop valve from a '98 - '01 Integra RS non ABS for '96 - '00 Civics.

Which is the same part, just different part numbers as you (94EG8) stated so eloquently in this thread: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/4-disc-brake-swap-questions-ek-2679146/

I guess you were replying at the same time I was. Mine just made it first.

Thats not exactly true, the part numbers are different because Integras use larger caliper pistons then EX/Si calipers, even though they bolt up the same and use the same size rotors. I forgot all about that chart, thanks for linking

It should be easier to buy correct model instead of bending the lines and I not sure the line will reach the ppv. But if you still want to go with it, i'll check my setup at home, and i'll let you know which one goes to which socket. But it won't be for another 2 hrs.
