Default washer fluid hose....

95 accord lx -- my washer fluid line appears to be clogged.....question is.....

is it worth the trouble to try to unclog it as opposed to buying a new hose line? i'm only getting spray out of one side (luckily, the driver's side) and it's just dribbling out of the passenger side...... is this a dealer part or can i buy it at the auto-parts store? what can i expect to pay? and if you think i can un-clog it, how would i go about doing that without tearing the hose?

Just go to lowes. Take your old hose with you. Get a section of rubber tubing cut the same length and replace it. You might as well do the whole thing while you are at it because the tubing is cheap and it could not hurt.

btw... u may also need new washer plugs or whatever those things are called..

i ran into the same paroblem with my 98, and it was cloged up with green mold..

need to replace those too... if all else fails you might gotta settle for those led ones..haha

i looked for the closest ones that looked like oem, and painted it with the thouch up paint for my car.. worked great,,,, it also sprays a whole lot better too

i wonder if it's just the washer plugs? I assume you mean the actual sprayers in the hood? how would i go about un-cloggging those if that's the case, is it possible?

mostly likely it's not the silicone hose, never heard that they get clog.

my 15 years old honda have a clogged sprayer, it's filled with minerals like stuff, i am getting the previous owner just pour in running water(I live in socal, so guess how bad the water is) instead of windshield washer liquid.
(distilled water is not good enough for it, the actual windshield washer also lube the pump, so get the real stuff)

you might want to take those little nipple out and soak them with baking soda and see if you can get them out.

for tougher clog, use air hose to blast it out(hint: gas station tire hose)

Can of compressed air and a needle work great.

FYI - I ended up replacing both of the washer-plug-sprayer things on top of the hood. the hose wasn't clogged....the washer-plug deal was cracked. to buy painted ones is like $25/ea , or you can get black ones for $12 or something from the dealer. I wanted them to match so I just replaced both (with black ones, they look fine but i can use my touch-up paint if i get ambitious enough).....$24 to replace both, not a bad deal really, now i can see when driving up to vail in the snow again!
