Press Release: Mad Frog Racing finishes in 5th position!
After a long season frought with setbacks and triumphs, Mad Frog Racing finishes the NASCAR season in fifth position. We would like to congratulate the winners, team RHR and thank them for a good racing season - we'll be slashing the semitruck's tires in the paddock on the way out.
We won three races and will come back next year with better cars, new mechanics and a new strategy: we'll take them out in the pits. I think we can effectively dart the other drivers before they get in their cars and therefore ensure victory.
We would also like to say a big: "Naner naner boo-boo" to Catch22. We kicked your pansy little ***.
I'm sure they'll come up with some lame-o password/yahoo excuse, whatever. They lost big time. So there.

Congrats on your finish.
Now, if you'd just stop taking the Rinde approach and actually finish the *real* race car sometime this decade...
Scott, who honestly forgot about the NASCAR thing.

hey now, unlike Rinde, i am puttng the parts on the car. The engine's in, I am making progress. If you think I'm gonna let you out of your offer to crew for me at Roebling, think again.

I'll probably be there anyway, so yeah, I'm still on the crew hook for you.
Karl will probably be there too, but... He's Karl. So the reality is that I have no idea what he's doing and neither does he. Pretty much status quo.
If the Roebling plan firms up, you need to make sure you get some sort of track time in the car BEFORE you go. You don't want to be discovering issues with the car at your school because if you miss a session or two (or a day or two) fixing the car you will not pass.
Also... Get some crap tires from somewhere. Preferably free and hard as a rock. The ones we used for Renee lasted all 3 days (about 5.5 hours worth).

that's my biggest concern at the moment. if push comes to shove, I can take the car to a dragstrip to shake out the drivetrain to some extent, and then go to Philadelphia for one of their winter series autocross. I don't think that there are any winter time track days nearby... I have some used Hoosiers sitting in the garage that I was planning on using, although they are not brick hard...
Whatever you can manage to do.
Even an autocross is better than the school itself being the first time the car is driven in anger.

A few dyno pulls to break in the motor and check for problems wouldn't hurt either.
