i just lowered my car on omnipower sleeves (448lb/336lb) with koni reds. after some city street/freeway driving and multiple cases of hitting bumps/dips im already getting a little annoyed with the ride quality. the car seems to knock pretty dam hard whenever i hit any disturbance in the pavement. i fly outta my seat, things in the trunk bounce all over the place, etc. my main question is could it be that the koni reds cant handle the rates of the springs? i dunno if im just being a bitch but its starting to suck thinking the car is going to fall apart every time i go bouncing down the road.

 

At first guess Im thinking that you're too low. And yea, the Omni Spring rates may be too high for the reds. If the shocks bottom out, you can say bye bye to your shocks. Koni Yellows would handle the spring rate fine.
BTW, where area of la are you driving? I just got my Omni Full Coilovers and am loving it Had a nice run though Muholland drive (boo to construction going on right now)

i dont think im too low, i can slip my fingers in between on all four corners. im guessing the rates may be too high, and that im frequently experiencing the shocks bottoming out. anyone else think so? well yesterday i took my car through mulholland to test things out, and yes haha i had some fun bouncing through the construction and few dips here and there. on the smooth parts the ride was fun though and it took turns nicely. today i drove to downtown to shoot some crap and the 101 has its sucky parts, and downtown just straight out sucks, i was bouncing/knocking all over the place.

oh yeah, and what rates did you get on the full coilovers? im thinking now i shoulda just spent the little extra money and gone that route.

I have the omni power streets (10k/8k)

I've been working at a photo editor the past 2.5 years. (mostly celeb. photos) And its good to see something different for a change
