Acorrd with h22a jdm motor went through water and doesnt start...Help
Can anyone tell me how fucked up my car is if I went through 4inches of water in an acorrd that is dropped.Water got in the muffler and in the aem intake sucked up water for sure,where should i start..
i heard you can spray wd40 in the cylinders through the spark plug holes to displace the water, because there is water in your cylinders which doesnt compress which wont go bang.
if it were me though i wouldnt try to start it, id tear it apart and try to get all the water out fo sho.
Yeah my bro tried to go through some water in an under ground parking garage where his car was parked.He should of waited till the water went down being his car sits like 4 to 5 inches off the ground.It made me mad to but I guess a rebuild might be the answer.Man the carpet is soaked in water,something none of us want to see.We are towing her in the morning so lets see what happens.We might take it to this place called top notch but tell me what would a shop say.They would proably have to strip the motor down and imagine the rebuild or whatever else it needs .omg
Have you tried pulling the plugs and shooting the water out? sometimes that works, but in your case it may be too late.

1) change the oil

3) crank the motor over until all water stops coming out
4) replace spark plugs
5) change oil again
6) try to start the car in "normal" condition now
Did your car stop running when you drove through the water? What exactly happened?
If you ever have to drive through that much water, and its safe, turn the car off or to accessory position and coast through the water without the engine running.

Well the shop is telling my bro that the crank case is locked but I dont think they took enough time to look at it.It might be a total loss.The car tryed to go through 5 inches of water at 20 mph and it came to a stop and that put the muffler under water and putting the aem air intake that sits low to the ground in the water.I say there has to be water in the intake manifold,but the whole engine bay was soaked so imagine the shorts in wiring and stuff.I really dont know.
The spark plugs were dryed and it would only make a clicking noise and sparks started to fly from the battery being that it is kind of wet.The oil has not been changed,but the poor car will be coming home from( top notch) the shop that works usually on the car.

Funny, how a $40 part could of saved you a $2K motor
That's why I got the bypass valve (or had a bypass valve. Now that I'm boosted it doesn't really matter
)
