We are having a Itr gathering for breakfast/lunch on Dec. 4 at Walker Brothers, for those individuals who went to expo this year, this was the location meet for the caravan. Main goal is to have a last itr meet before the snow season starts and as a bonus you can also bring a toy for the toys for tots donation. This tradition has been an ongoing thing for bikers around the midwest area, but we don't want to steal anyone's thunder here, its just a small gathering for midwest itr owners and we can make it for a good cause as well. I've already e-mailed everyone that was listed on the previous itr e-mail list from the last meet, and have numerous responses of people attending. Again don't limit yourself into bringing just one toy, again this is for a good cause. (Toy must be new, not used, age focus is 14 and under) It is still undecided yet on whether one volunteer will drop off the toys at a toys for tots drop off location or a cruise towards the drop off point and part ways there. For individuals who are interested in attending kindly post on the thread or pm me for details so you can be added onto the list and e-mail as well.

I did a toys for tots run when I first got the R, it was fun and I felt like I did something good for a change

For those who are close enough to attend, jump in and spend a few hours and a few bucks- A very worthy cause!

 

If I'm not working on my project/study that day, I'll see what I can do. I'm a maybe.

The line at Walker Brothers at 10am is going to most likely be out the door. Just an FYI. I might be able to make it.

Chris - who is also concerned with parking depending on how many people show up...

Very true. They tend to get busy from about 9:00 on, and the parking lot fills up.

This is true at pretty much all the Walker Brothers locations. I think you just have to live with it, unless you're interested in going somewhere other than Walker Brothers (or making the time much earlier).

We should try to figure out a headcount so that whoever gets there first can ask for a suitable sized table. Even so, it may be impossible for them to seat us all together. And anyone who arrives late will probably have to sit separately from whoever is there at 10:00.

I'm a maybe.

 

Chris Enn brings up some pretty good points to consider.

I would be up for meeting earlier, or later, or at the proposed time, but I know a lot of lazy asses will not want to wake up at a decent hour of the morning.

I say later, like noon, but paul sent an email AND posted this so that's alot of backtracking/editing/etc. And its not my decision, its Paul's.

It'll still be busy at noon but probably tailing off from the 10-11am craziness.

He wants to give plenty of advance notice? But I agree, we don't need to set this up twelve months in advance.

It doesn't really start slowing down until 1:00-1:30.

that's y i'm trying to make a list , i'm still open for suggestions for thos individuals who thing its too early too late/ but date is set. Like chris said changing things will always creat confusion, lets not do that. I have no problem changing the time to 1:00pm if you guys want to, i thought 10am was a good time since some of us lazy bums dont want to wake up at 8am on a sat. but again time is still open, lmk if you want me to change the time guys. I'm not familiar with the business traffic of walkers, so i threw a time up there, but its still changeable..

thanks for pointing that out.. changed it.. sorry school been hectic lately.. christmas break is almost near so exams are jumping on my ***. Corrected it.

Suggestion on time is still possible and to be decided..
