Stock fuel rails are good indefinitly <sp unless you are running a power-adder that requires npt/apt fittings. i.e. nitrous direct port... You do not NEED to get an after market fuel rail, it is just a bit more convenient <sp. We (the shop) were hitting 620whp turbo LS/VTEC on a stock rail. It is mostly for looks IMO.

The AEM(or any other fuel rail ) is a necessary part of any engine dress up kit....Not needed for Horsepower

I made over 400whp with a stock fuel rail. Like someone else said, stock fuel rails are good to 600+whp. However, I have since upgraded to an AEM unit with AN fittings for my Aeromotive FPR and braided feed line, but it was not necessary just something I chose to do.
