just got my truck back from tweeter... w/pics
i know its not a honda/acura, but i do have a honda, and this is my other car, a 2000 explorer... i just got it back from tweeter, they did the install, they are 2 12" jl w0's with an alpine v power MRP 350 amp.. lemme know what you think, and dont mind those wires, they are the antenna wires for my TV tuner for my indash and i usually take them out for shows...

Well, it is clean install but nothing special. As far as the tuner wires, why didn't they just hide them for you when they had the quarter panel taken apart?

I think it's better then most - considering the amplifier install.
Most people around here just bolt and amp to the floor or the box - or worse yet - don't bolt it to anything.
Sure it's simple, but it's pretty clean....

Well, unless you are in the industry then your opinion doesn't mean much. I am in the industry and there is nothing special about your install. The amp rack would take a whole 30 minutes extra to do.
Also why do you not just mount the antenna out of site instead of just taking it out for shows?

well, like i said IMO, i think it looks good and its not a basic install where the amp is mounted on the back of the box ... im not in the industry, and who cares how long it takes to make the amp rack??

well lets see,
alpine mrp 350 $199.99 at crutchfield
jl12wo $119.99 each without the box
jlbox $80 just a guess
amp wiring kit $100
labor $145
tax 5%
well with tax i get a total of $803.21
an i used internet prices on the subs and amp, so in store its prolly more
850 is not a bad deal, i have a shop and wouldnt do the job for a penny less than i have above.
alot of these people are comparing the price to there doing the work on there own or a friend doing it, but any real installer knows taking that quarter off is a bitch , and then making a base rack for the amp in the back to mount to, then making the front rack cover cutting out the vent hole, rounding over all the edges (if u can see that) and carpeting both pieces and installing and wiring the amp? for around $145 dollars in labor too much? lolol u gotta be kidding me people on here get 100-150 for an hour of dyno tuning by playing with keys on the lap top
