Default SUP!

Hey! Im new to Honda-tech! Ive been reading it for awhile but fianlly decided to become a member. I have a '91 Civic Hatch STD. Ive had it for awhile now but I havent done anything to it yet. I have to many ideas of what I possibly could be doing it , most of them incluse an engine swap off the bat but Im just not sure if it would be worth it. I love it to death and I want to but it has terrible rust all along the sides of it going into the corners of the rear wells. What do all of you Honda heads out there think I should do! Ive been looking for a hatch in better condition, but should I just suck it up and deal with it? Its just kinda daunting when so many people have told me its not worth it. Maybe all you can help me! Thanx for reading this!

it would be wise to post pics of your car's condition before asking us opinions on whether to keep it or not.

My sister graduated from SCAD in Early 2004. It's a pretty interesting city, a lot different from central Indiana. But I don't know any tuner shops down there.

I'm sure your tutition won't stop you from Modding your car to your liking. I went to the University of Pacific. I was paying 16,000/yr and that's after my 1/2 scholarship...You can do it....stick it out.

How bad is the rust? Is it eating away at major body panels, or is it just minor patches?

Yeah, i got a 91 civic std, too. If you're looking for a cheaper, not too terribly difficult upgrade, you can try a dpfi to mpfi swap (stupid honda just trying to be cheap...) Haven't done it yet to mine, but i'm planning on doing it sometime.
I would imagine the hardest part of that is the wiring (you gotta get a si ecu, and rewire it a little bit.)

k, i obviously have no idea how to post pics, soooo, here is the site that they are on. Im going to try and keep a photo album of my progress of the car. I hope it can all go well. I just created it yesterday, and there will be a more extensive amount of pics added to the album later. Feel free to check it out!
