Default Are the upgrades worth it?

I have a 94 accord LX with about 143k and for christmas I was thinking about getting short ram intake and exhaust and maybe a new cat converter off ebay. It would probably run around 100 for all of it. Do you guys think it would even be worth the hp gains and how much do you think I would gain? If not worth it, what would be the best best if I wanna see some quick hp gains for not a whole lot of money.

I don't think it would be worth it. You have the lx which equates to 130HP. With those mods you would gain 5 to maybe 10 HP. I guess if you can do it all for $100 that wouldn't be bad but I doubt that will happen. I'd save up for a motor swap.

I just put my car back to stock over the weekend (intake, header, cat, exhaust, pulleys), and I have to say I did not notice much of a difference as far as performance between the two. I mean the car sounds MUCH less aggressive, but if sound is all you're going for it, by all means get the exhaust and intake.

However, after taking off the eibach prokits, rear sway bar and front strut bar, I have to say my car feels like **** taking corners and going over bumps. I'd say save your money and work on the suspension.
