Default DA integra knuckles question...

Im having a hard time finding a set of 90-91 ex knuckles and we all know 90-93 integra knuckles are easy to come by and are cheaper. My question is will the integra knuckles fit onto dx axles? Are the splines the same?? Im gettin ready to do a b16 swap pretty soon but i was wanting to go ahead and get my brakes in line. Also Is there a difference between the Integra knuckes ( ls gs or gsr? 4 door or hatch???

I know the axles will work fine but am not sure about the rest. I am in the process of researching that swap myself.

I just bought a pair of 90-91 Civic EX knuckles off of http://www.car-part.com for $100 for the pair. I have used the 90-93 Integra knuckles on an EF in the past and I can't remember why I didn't like it.

The 90-93 Integra splines are the same as the 88-91 Civic/CRX, DX/SI knuckles. The only difference in the 90-93 Integra knuckles between the different trim levels is with or without ABS, and that doesn't matter for what you are doing.

you can use DA knuckles, the important thing to remember is to retain the stock upper control arms. the spline count is the same and your swap will work with no issues.

There is no difference in the knuckles for the DA, between ls, gs, 4dr.

Some posted that if you use Integra DA knuckles your geometric and your alignment will always be off. Here's a link...

http://tjshondas.20m.com/xlfronts.htm

"*90+ Integra steering knuckles ARE different from 88-91 Civic/CRX knuckles. Their shape and size will affect all three alignment settings (camber, caster, and toe). The camber will go positive (+), the caster will go negative (-), and the toe will need to be reset since the tie rod end location is in a different place on the Integra units. There are ways of correcting both the camber and caster, but the overall height of the knuckle may cause your upper control arm to hit the underbody on lowered cars."

Why is it important to keep your stock upper control arms?

DA upper control arms dont fit. dont work. wont even bolt up.

i wouldnt say its "important", i think its just a warning dont bother going out of your way to get a DA upper control arm.

Instead of using DA knuckles, you can convert to 10.3" brakes on the stock Civic DX knuckles. It is an option.
