hey everyone... I just got a quick question. Im trying to grind down the collar to fix the shock knock... but how do you guys take off the top nut on the strut assembly? (while the strut assembly is still on the car). I want to use the impact but theres no room to fit that in the trunk. Thanks for the help.

 

There is a flat edge just above that **** on the shock shaft. Hold that with some plyars while turning the nut with an open-ended wrench.
