I want to buy a 1988 Civic with Si tranny but it has check engine light. I dont know if you could fix it. I dont even know what is code 14. I dont know if its worth the money $1100.

 

code 14 is eacv (electronic air control) can be fixed if the car is clean i would buy it for $1100 code 14 is not real major(not hard to fix)

 

to fix it do you have to replace a part?

 

they cant be more then $5-$10 at a junkyard, it's only 2 bolts and 2 coolant lines

 

What parts do you need to buy to fix it?

that is what u need to replace.. or maybe u dont even have to replace it.. check connections (plug) first .. then take it off and clean it .. if that doesnt work then get another one.

 

does anybody know were its located?

 

On the back of the intake manifold..
