Default Je 10.5:1 pistons in a d16y8

Ok I have a 2000ex and I was thinking of putting in some je pistons. I have all the basic boltons I/H/E aem v1 cold air, greddy 4.2.1 header, rsr gt2 exhaust.
aem under drive pulleys and last a greddy e-manage for tunning.

with that said. what kind of power increase would I see with just adding the new pistons.

PS: my motor has about 31,000 miles on it

not much, i would go higher around 11-12 you cant get their with those pistons and a milled head or deck, welded up combustion chambers or you can keep it that 10.5 and boost or go nitrous, if your gonna go all motor and wanna go to a higher compression and a good cam that will be your best option otherwise keep the compression 10.5 and spray or FI it

I know the stock compression is 9.6:1 so going to 10.5:1 is not a real big increase then.

what gas do you have access to?? if you only have 91 i would stay around 11:1 or less, if you can get 93 then i would stick around 12:1. this i my opinion, i would rather run more timing and have longevity.

Thanks for all the info guys its been a real help. I have decided that I will turbo my car for the meanwhile and just do a motor swap later.

if build a good turbo setup, a motor swap will be a down grade

I know but I have always wanted a type r swap. Its not really a power thing more or less haveing a car the way it was supposed to be from the factory.

i call bullshit with robtec on this one, the only way it is possible is with significantly retarded timing and staying in low rpms. to the original poster, run 9:1 for boost
