Cams mix match??
i was looking around h-t for this one thread but had no luck.
Its about people using skunk2 stage 2 intake cam and stage 3 exhaust cam to increase overlap. I was looking to purchase either Toda D's or Skunk2s this week but I wanted to know if anyone local has done this setup and in theory is it better to have an exhaust cam with more lift and duration than the intake cam.
i think i have enough compression for skunk2 stage 2/3 and Toda D's.
My setup is big bore GSR with ls crank for 1996cc's, 12.5-12.9 compression. I'll be running RM gen 2 valvesprings/retainers, St. corsa gears. Looking for the best mix of mid-high power since this will be a daily car.

Gettiing more overlap isnt going to make you more power. It will allow you to run higher compression on pump gas because you will have less dynamic compression.
also i gained more power by reducing overlap.
