IS THE BYPASS (SECONDARY BUTTERFLY) CONNECTED. MAY ALSO BE A SENSOR OR CONNECTION IN THE DISTRIBUTOR. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU FIND.

THEN MY GUESS WOULD BE TO CHANGE THE WHOLE DIST. AS AN EASY TEST. IF THAT DOES NOT FIX IT, IM NOT SURE WHAT IT COULD BE WITH OUT LOOKING AT WHAT YOU HAVE

We did the same intake swap on my other civic. There is a black box that two or three ( i cant remember) vacume lines plug in too and also a sensor. Unplug the sensor and all the lines from that box and remove it. we did that and the car ran better. I was told to do that from a rice shop.

when i im flooring the gas pedal it wont go past 4000 rpm like its been chipped to redlin there and the engine makes a wierd noise and the needle goes back and forth at 4000 rpm area. but when i ease the gas pedal down only then it will go all the way to 7000 or 8000. the ecu is a b16 pr3 ecu i believe.
