Default Another break in...

When my car was broken into in August, they took everything... seats, console, gauges, basically the whole interior (and the valve cover). I got everything put back together, invested some more in security and got the car back on the road about a month and a half or two months ago.

Then early Sunday morning someone tried to take it again. This time nothing was stolen. The ignition and ECU are trashed but luckily the security was layered enough and the thief was caught and arrested in the act.

I feel lucky that the car isn't gone but I'm a little pissed about a few things. The pager for my alarm never went off so I'm going to have to revamp that aspect of my security again. Also, when the cops showed up they didn't bother to knock on the door or get me or anything. They just took the guy away and left a note on my windshield.

I get so goddam mad when I think about why these thieves have no respect for people's property but the more I think about the whole situation I calm down a little knowing that I'm lucky the car isn't gone. While it's a pain in the *** to get the car fixed again I'm glad it's still around and I'm glad that little **** who did this was caught.

F thieves.

Protect your R.

I think it was just dumb luck how the cops were there. It was on this little one way street for the few apartments that are in the area and they drive by every so often. The neighbors are also fairly nosy so they could have called as well.

Either way I'm pumped they got him. When I went to the station to pick up the police report they told me I'd probably have to go to court at some point. Hopefully when I see that f-cake I'll have enough wherewithal to not pull a Ron Artest on him.

Hrmmm maybe the cops used your caR as bait? I'm sure the cops see that it is a ITR and waited near by to nab a dumb *** thief

I wonder...

Glad they caught him, now press charges and don't back off- maybe get a lawyer to find out what else you can stick to the fawker.

you should consider your R very very LUCKY!
i had my car almost stolen by a bunch of punk *** ricer kids
but good thing my neighbor called the police on arrested their bitch asses before any damage was dealt.
seriously if the thief's ambition is motivated enough, they will not let anything stand in their way of achieving their F-ed up goal.
