I'm planning to do a JDM front end on my hatch. My bumpers F&R and side moldings are black but the rest of my car is red, i wanted to know if anybody has seen or has the JDM front and painted the bumpers black and left the rest of the car a different color. i kinda like how my car has a red & black scheme to it, and i really like the wrap around jdm bumper lights, but i dont wanna be ghetto and just cut the usdm bumper to fit the jdm bumper lights. can anyone help?

 

I think it would look good but just be sure to paint the front bumper with bumper paint so it almost looks factory..

BTW,,many people have put the jdm front bumper on the us front..Maybe you should think about that if all you want is the wrap-around turn signals.

 

i'm scared of messing up, and doing a bad job..im gonna need to get my car re-painted anyways, do you know if the shop would have the bumper paint? if not, i can just try it myself, what do you think?

They might have bumper paint..If not just get some krylon bumper paint and give to them ..I'm sure they can open the can and put the paint in the gun..
Or they could always paint the bumpers flat black with a matte clearcoat..
For best results you should have the body shop do it unless you have some painting skills and a garage to do it in..

 

paint the bumper too, dont have it black. looks so much cleaner painted. also tell the body shop to put in the plastic adhesion promoter in the paint so when they spray the bumpers it wont crack.

me and my friend painted my car, we mixed the promoter with the paint, and everything has been good, no cracking.

dude just buy the SiR front bumper like Mrspeaker said, you dont have to make any mods and you can get it for like $100, and if you're lucky you'll can get a black one

 

Where did you find a sir bumper for $100??!??
