IMO go with either a GSR or an LS, stay away from the 1.6, its a waste of money and has no torque!

gsr all the way....just do it right. i have five gsr swapped crxs aka gsrx .......such evil lil toys. i like to beat up mustang rednecks with the white one. 84x89mm all the time haha. the white gsrx is my fav. she drinkd 100 shot like water.

i have a b16 in it right now. but i plan on racing my car so i want to build upo a motor so it is rebuilt and cleaned and nice and everything. i cant do an ls/vtec cuz they dont allow it in some road racing divisions. i want to autoX it and/or road race it. so im looking for a strong motor that will get me around the track with torque. so ya

what divisions is it illegal in? Its legal for the honda challenge! And Solo 1 and 2 it wont matter they will just reclass you!

Go to honda challenge website and download the rules and find out! I am almost 100% sure you can have head swap b/c a few of my buddies run B20/Vtecs!

I have an LS hatch and I roll many ppl with GSR's and LS/vtec and leave them saying, WTF!
I still say go GSR or LS!

why? if you are just starting out HP is the last thing that should be on your mind, have you ever been on a track before?
With whatever you choose from your list you would still get crushed by h5 honda challenge cars with low 100's in horsepower.
You dont want a strong motor, you want a reliable motor. Leave the stock motor in it or a sohc vtec tops.

Its cool that you want to do a swap. I only autox at the moment and I have a stock b16 with the usually **** and its a lot to handle at times. If you plan on building a monster ls/vtec or C1 you might be in for a surprise, but roading and autox are fairly different so good luck.
