Default tein springs vs tein basics

I am sure this has been posted before but I couldnt find it. So here Is my question my friend is getting ready to purchase some suspension for her EG she is looking at Tein s-tech with illumina's vs the Tein basic coilovers from what I have found they are in the same price range and I was wondering if anyone has opinions on which is a better setup. She is going for a good quality ride rather to aggressive.

THanks for all the help and please dont bash if this has already been posted before.

What is more important to you, ride height adjustability or adjustable damping force? With the two options you have selected you can only have one or the other. The tokico’s will give you 5 damping settings but only a single ride height. The tein basics will give you ride height adjustability but no control over the damping force.

The two choices above, I’d go tein basic. To be honest tho, I am not a big fan of the tein basic because for a few extra bucks you can go tein ss and be able to adjust damping force and ride height [corner balance baby!].

I have been riding on tein ss dampers for 20k miles now. At $945 they are not cheap and I’ll admit when I first forked over the cash I was a little doubtful myself BUT if you go with the tein ss dampers you def. tell yourself it was worth the coin the first time you drive the car.

Well, the Tein Basic is about $250-$300 less than the SS setup...but this guy on Ebay sells the SS for like $880 shipped...

My friend has the SS, he likes them too.

i have the basics and can't complain. the only reason i would want damper adjustability is to make them a little softer for everyday driving, but they're not bad. my car handles pretty well

yeah thanks for all the info. I know that she just wants a good quaility ride but not to boring. She doesnt like my setup but then again i am thinking of getting rid of the skunk2 and konis to go with the ss setup.
