Just got my first bike 00 Yamaha R1. I'm new to bikes so any suggestions and comments are welcome

Really bad choice for a first bike.(Awesome machine though) I see your 26yrs old so I hope you can exercise some self restraint and respect for the bike.

ya...I'd like to think I'm a lil older and wiser, everyone tells me I'll be ok..just respect the bike.

Honestly, maybe invest in a cage or something, everyone goes down, id hate to see it happen to somethign like that. ANyway, im sure everyone said ur a retard for starting on a litre bike, whatever, prove them wrong.

i'd think sliders would cut it. i'm sure you will be fine if you take things easy.

Should I get the same tires (Dunlop) or is there something else you guys suggest.
Remember I'm a newbie, so I don't need any kind of high performance or racing tires.

 

i'd get pilot powers or diablo corsas over the stock dunlops...just my 2 cents though.
