Default Wheel Spacer Opinions & Questions

I was looking for a cheap upgrade in the handling department and was wondering what benefits I might get from extending the my wheels out a bit. Haven't really researched this yet, but I suppose the range would be a few centimeters out each side?
I kinda would expect to have to upgrade the hub bolts as well for some dapper arp bolts and aluminum nuts. The studs on my car are hurtingly short, plus I wouldn't wan't to miss out on the benefits of lighter nuts...ha ha. I've never really heard about Ef/ CRX guys doing this, So does anyone know how little-much ( if any) is enough/ too-much? Or worth it?

No, not for the "upgrade in the handling department." As cheap as they might be, if you are doing it JUST for the added benefit of moving your footprint out 5mm you won't notice a thing. However, they DO come in handy when running wider tires or larger brakes.
