I am going to be buying another car real soon...most likely a 94-97 Accord EX, in sedan form with a 5spd. I want to swap in an H22 and leave it stock....is it worth it? Some say that they are not even that fast....what do you guys think?

 

Im thinking about doing the same thing to my accord and im not really sure, alot of people that i know say it would make it faster, but im not really sure

 

The swap is a very good idea IMO but i guess it all depends on what you believe is good. the ex comes stock around 145 hp and with the swap you get around 190-200 i believe. If you think that a few thousand dollars worth a 50+ hp gain then go for it. Another option is the turbo on the f22. From what i understand a couple thousand dollars will get you the same HP and will be a little less costly.

 

I 'd like to drive an H22'd Accord.

 

spend $1500 in suspension mods, leave the engine stock and put the other $1000-$1500 in your pocket if you're gonna swap and leave everything else stock
