Default Went to the drag strip...got owned

My friend who has a G35 and i went to the denton dragway on friday. I wanted to get some times so after i finish the manual swap i can see the improvement. The track is 1/8 mile so i couldnt even get out of second gear
The times really suck so be prepared to get a good laugh
Im number 12, right lane...

Best run of the night.....but it still sucks
Right lane...

The pic sucks i know but it says 10.7182 et, .7530 reaction time, 69.23 mph.

Just about every car there was a muscle car with a drag radials and a huge blower stickin out of the hood so the only race i won all night was against a new sentra SER Spec V. I had fun though, the night was awesome

His G35 ran 9.46
His is an auto too, so its a little slower. I know that you guys cant tell the future or anything, but when i get a 4th gen tranny, 8lb flywheel and a stage one clutch, how much faster will the car be on the 1/8?
Any ideas?

that 1/8 time equals to about a 16.7 in the 1/4. u should at least be entering 3rd by the time the 1/8 is over. work on your launching. what rpm r u trying to launch on?

17.5 with a 5speed?! It not only sounds like they couldnt drive well, but it sounds like they couldnt even drive a stick

Well, the 8lb flywheel is going to hurt your times a little bit. It makes the car more difficult to launch than it already is. It helps acceleration, but getting out of the hole is either a spin or bog thing.

My best in the 1/8th is 7.87 @95mph

That's with slicks running 20lbs of boost.

probably and for sure are two different things. Unless you have driven an auto vs. a manual there is no for people to really tell a difference. At least a whole second, maybe more. My 4th gen is faster than it was with automatic w/ spray. I ran 15.3 w/ the auto and hung with a guy on the way back from the track when i finished the five speed swap( he had just run 15.1). OHHH and btw,ItalyonStylion let me know if you have any questions regarding the swap. FYI, it's a real pain in the ***

he asked what i thought...he didnt ask what he would run for sure...just an opinion....i didnt say he was gonna run 1/2 sec faster for sure....but its possible..

btw you should be well in the 14's with a 75 shot..
