Throttle Stuck open at Idle? IAC?
I am running an LS VTEC 12.5:1 compression Hondata S200 with a P28.
Today on the highway the check engine light comes on. It doesnt flash or anything (which I thought it was supposed to). I ignore it but then realize that the car is maintianing speed as if the cruise control is on.
I turn OFF the CC and its still doing it. I put in the cluch and the RPMs head up to 4500 and STAY. A few minutes later it starts flashing. It looked like it was throwing a code 1 unless it was a code 10. I got it off the highway and shut if off and reset the ECU and when I turned it on still kept at 4500 and then the Check Engine light comes back on.
I let off the clutch and slipped the clutch and held my foot on the brake and ailed it home...I already looked at the butterfly and the throttle cable, Neither are holding it open in anyway...

Hey what are doing post whoring off of Club SI?
What's the code for sure? That would be a big clue.
Sounds like a hose came off and created a vacuum leak. If the code is from a back fire then that would go right along with a vacuum hose that has come loose. Look at your PCV hose first.

I didnt even think to chcek vacuum lines. The only reason I suspected IAC is because it has been giving me a lot of **** lately. I will trace so vacuum lines tomorrow when its light out.
I dont know the code for sure yet. I have to ail it to Auto Zone....
EDIT: Code 1 is O2 and Code 10 is IAT sensor...

Bringing this to the top again because I am going to replace the IACV today and then if that doesnt work ail it up to Auto Zone to get the code.
