Shorter to longer geared trans....bad for track times????

If it is the d15b vtec tranny they are geared the same as a 92-95 civic ex which should be very similiar to yours.

If that is true, do all of the 92-95 gears extend past 90mph in 3rd gear? My 2nd hits 65mph@ 7000rpm and at 3rd it hits 102mph@ 7000rpm. My orignial trans only hit 90mph@ 7000rpm.
