I know that the National ITR meet was in Michigan this past year, but let's get realistic here, the most geological place to have it is in like Kansas. I'm thinking we could do an east coast meet in say North Carolina - the center of the East Coast. I know a bunch of us Florida guys would go and it would be like 9 or 10 hours max driving for NY's Rs and Florida's Rs. We could probably have over 100 Type Rs show. It would be bad ***. Any ideas/suggestions? It would need massive planning and organization though.

President's Day is February 18th, so we could do like a Friday - Monday hangout thing

It's within a day's drive for owners in Chicago, New York, Boston, DC, NC, Atlanta, and most of the eastern and central parts of the country. Be there!

 

As Ken said, the 2001 Expo was in California and the 2002 will be in Michigain in May of 2002. To expect any number around 100 Type Rs to show up would be highly unlikely. A lot of the people don't of the $$$, vacation, or desire to attend an event like this.

The 2003 Expo is up in the air at the moment. A lot of people have showed interest in attending VIR, but nothing concrete has generated from it. If something on the East coast does not work, I would suggest the brand new track in Iowa that is close to the Nebraska Iowa border around Omaha. Here is the link: http://www.midamericamotorplex.com
The track is awesome. It has been classified as the fastest flowing track in Northern America. I have been in contact with the Vice President of the track, and have discussed running an ITR Expo event there, and he is more than willing to work with us if we choose that track. It is EXTREMELY safe, and the facilities will be top notch. I will be working at the track on Monday nights, so I will be able to do all of the coordinating of the event. Anyway, enough of that.

Get your registration form in for next year's Expo. I promise you will have a blast!!!

 

How about at VIR Feb 23-24 and just run with speedtrial, that would be by far the easist thing to do! Just sign up, and show up.. It may not be ALL honda, but who cares, the last speedtrial event at VIR there were over 50 honda-tech members, and everyone had a kickass time...

 

It 's ambitious, if you guys get 100 R's together, I'll be really impressed, good luck though.

Well, I am not talking about just R.. I don't like to be inclusive to one type of car, because we all have friends with different kind of cars.. Just spread the word to use the event as an offical EAST COAST HONDA-TECH meet. Granted, there will be other cars there, not just honda, because us at speedtrial cannot deny a certain car just because a bunch of hondas show up.. But if you guys sign up EARLY and take all the spots, then we can't let the other cars in. Get my drift..

 

So, does that sound like a plan guys... Sign up and fill up the spots!
