Need your help. Car keeps blowing the radio fuse
I know, that topic title sounds a little funny if your mind is warped, but seriously, I need some help.
I recently changed radios in my 98 civic dx (added a pioneer), and now the 7.5 amp fuse under the hood always blows out as soon as the key is turned on.
I didn't change a single thing other than radios, and the fuse will even blow when I try hooking the stock radio back up.
What the hell is going on here? What should I check? I already checked all my wiring to the pioneer unit, but like I said, now the fuse will blow even when the stock radio is hooked up.
I'm loosing my figgin mind here. Please help.

u have a short somewhere. u need to check all ur wiring again. make sure that no wires are open to touching metal or any of the other wires. if that doesnt work, let me know.
one more thing, did u use a radio harness?

I'll go over everything again, but I'm 99% sure that the wiring is good. Yes, I used a radio harness that I bougth from Best Buy specifically for my car. It plugs right into the stock radio plug, and I wired the other end to the pioneer harness.
The big problem I'm having is, why when I put my stock radio back in does the fuse continue to blow?
None of the wires are exposed anywhere, yet I have this problem.

Q- does the fuse blow as soon as you plug the fuse in, or as soon as you plug the HUs in, or as soon as you turn on the ign., or not untill you turn the HUs on?

I rechecked all my connections, and everything is fine. I even had my friend with a 97 civic come over so we can see if my radios work in his car, and everything does, so there is not a problem in my wiring of the adapter harness.
The fuse blows as soon as I turn the car to the "on" possition.
Any other suggestions?

HU is head unit right
The fuse blows out when either the stock radio, or pioneer head unit is plugged in.
I know it's not a problem with the wiring of the adapter harness, because both my stock radio, and pioneer cd player work in my friends car (actually I used my adaptor harness in his car to make the pioneer work)
I haven't checked to see if the fuse blows out even when there is nothing hooked up to the radio harness.

You can not rule out the wiring by using the radio in another car. That rules out the radio. And it looks like you ruled out the adaptor harness as well, which only leaves the wiring in your car. I am willing to bet that if you were to plug your friends radio into your car the same thing would happen.
The fuse blows as soon as the key is turned on with the radio connected? Is that right? And both radios and the harness work in your friends car? Is that right? If both are correct, then you have a problem with the wiring in your car somewhere.
You should go ahead and see what happens with nothing hooked to the O.E. harness when you turn the key on, then if nothing happens se what happens with the adaptor harness plugged in but no radio. It is a proccess of elimination.

Yes, that is correct.
How would I start to check the wiring in my car, since that seems to be the only problem?

I don't know what the hell was wrong, or why it was blowing fused like that, but now all of a sudden, everything works again, and I didn't change anything, all I did was hooked back up the adapter harness.
