all B series transmisions are interchangeable, so im sure you can do it. you'll need a flex plate for your B16, i think.

i think the more important question is why?

EDIT: im an idiot, i completely miss-read tha post. sorry.

Yes, it will be a direct bolt on, but you are going to need to get a clutch, flywheel, shift linkage, a shifter, a new rear motormount bracket, tranny mount, and new pedal assembly. i might be missing some stuff

I think he wants to put the b16 tranny on the b18b motor.

maybe i didn't make myself clear enough. i have a 96 dx hatch, and a dead b16a3 just sitting around in my delSol. the engine is not salvagable, but the head and tranny are still okay (hydrolocked). i'm looking to buy a longblock so i understand my need for a new rear motor mount, but why would i need a clutch, pedal assembly? can't i use my existing pedal assembly (maybe you're thinking i have an automatic ls, my bad for any confusion).

is the tranny mount, shifter, and shift linkage necessary for a b18 swap into my d-equipped dx?
