Default Dull Headlights?

Ok this is something that's been bothering me for a while with my Teg. The Headlights are dull as ****. I changed the bulbs to some bulbs from Auto Zone but they still suck. Anyone have any good advice on how to get my bulbs to be brighter without switching to HID's? Thanks.

clean the inside of the plastic headlight housing.. if they are clean already then get rid of the crappy auto zone bulbs and spend the $70 on PIAA

find some sylvania silverstars....the autozone bulbs probably give u the blue light but at sacrifice of actual light output. Get a good brand...i.e. i got some sylvania cool blues(2) for 6 bucks shipped on ebay. Work like a charm, brighter than stock

get some never dull or some kind of metal polisher and rub down your head lights if they're yellow or dull. helps out a lot. if it's the light bulb that you're having problems with then just get the sylvania silverstars and do that 9005 conversion.

If your car is like mine.. you might be getting a sorry ground or bad wires. I changed my bulbs and it was the same o' story then when I got new battery cables due to corrosion it fixed it and other problems as well.

Converting a 9005 bulb (The one that you normally have as your high beams) to fit a 9006 housing and connector. Bulb burns brighter, especially silverstars.

Ok I bought the silverstars and noticed a bit of a change but I'm thinking about doing the conversion to the 9005. They're still not bright enough. How will these things light up in a blackhousing headlight housing? Thanks!
