Default fuel burning fast

my fuel is burning a little too fast..like half the gas tank in 5 minutes. ok so i have this white smoke that comes from my exhaust , it smells like fuel....crazy huh.so i replaced my injectors with known working ones, the injectors that i was using was obd2 (soldered the 5 wires from resistor box) then i switched to obd0 hf injectors and rewired my resistor box. Any one have an idea on what might have gone wrong? . Im guessing my fuel pressure regulator may be bad? because im using the fuel pressure regulator from a d16y7 dpfi system(mine is mfpi system d16y8 engine.)? so whould that have an effect ?Thanks Eric if any help is offered.

well a bad FPR could defiantely be a reason why youre fuel is going through quicker, but im not sure if id go as far as saying a full tank would be done in 5mins. jeez, i hope this didnt happen to ya on your way to work!

not loosing any coolant? maybe you have a short somehwere causing one of ur injectors to be open all the time. try taking off injector clips one at a time to see if the white smoke disapears. does it run rough?
also the d16y7 is mpfi it just has a wierd lookin manifold

whoa your soo right! thanks . I had a theory on that too because cylinder 3 always had fuel on it after i took it out and checked it. So i guess ima have to find a short. *is it safe to drive slowly without injector 3 pluged in? Im excited about driving it and cannot wait no more! waited for bout 3 months now*

I doubt it. You might be safer going and getting a new one. Honda is more of a touchy feely place unless you know the Diagnostics guy and the mechanic.....then maybe...but they will tell you, "no, try a performace shop." She idles at 2k with cyl 3 "off" whoa.....
