Rear drivers side wheel, loud squeak, help!!
Today when I pulled in to a parking lot I heard a rattling, and then metal scrapping. There was a loud squeaking sound comming from the rear drivers side wheel. I inspected the brakes and all parts; nothing loose and pads are fine.
Is it possible these are symptoms of a bad rear wheel bearing?
The squeak went away once I went on the highway and now seems to be gone. When it was happening it seemd to be especially noticeable when I turned at low speeds in the parking lot. It definately came from the rear drivers side wheel.
Thanks

I worn bearing would cause a high-pitched, but somewhat low-volume, squeeky noise, and it would be consistant and not a one-time thing.
You would hear it the most during take offs.
