Default Exhauast sound changing...

I bought my exhaust setup about 3 weeks ago.... and now the overall sound has gone from deep to Ricey....
Around 3K rpm it's gets a really hollow sound on the inside of the car.....but on the outside there was no real change....except when letting off the gas it's very bubbly.....not a pop noise....more of bubbling down kinda noise......any suggestions as to what it could be.....? a leak?
any help is appreciated

If the exhaust is brand new it will get alittle louder after it breaks in.. but a bubbling could be a leak around the front of the exhaust

---Front to Back----
stock b16a manifold(new gasket) no heatshield
2.5" dual port flange from some intergra(?)(he had one laying around that happend to fit perfectly to the block and to the bolts to hold it in.
It has an opening for an o2 sensor. i stick one in and clipped the end off to plug the hole.
High flow cat
The piping is 2"mendrel(spelling?) bent piping fitting the contours of the car....come up and over the rear passenger side arm and bends to an EF classic style bend to where the pipe meets a magnaflow triple chamber.
90o bend to come out to a 2.5 Stainless muffler tip sitting under the stock groove in the bumber.
and it has a resonator in the setup.
it sounds beautiful at idle......and for the first 3 weeks it sounded like a mustang ran into my virgin honda....at idel it was real low and only was noticeably loud when vtec engaged. And now in the car and outside it's loud as **** around 3k up until 4k....and when the gas pedal is let go it rumbles like a deep growl but Popping....if that makes sense.....i checked for leaks i didn't find any....just the nomrla condensation on the inside of the muffler, the welds are good and the cat if snug under the car...no rattling....just TOO LOUD and RICEY.....
any help

gonna try the new motor oil and engine restore.....might help...

I have a magnaflow muffler and its jut gonna get louder and louder. Basically the material inside the muffler or resonators start to deteriorate causing your exhaust to get louder.

I'm putting on a resonator but I'm not expecting the resonator to last for every either. But there only 20 dollars.

The raspy popping happend to my custom bend without a rezonator. I never did fix it... but the explanation i got at the tunner said that its just normal for a exhaust with no resonators that that is so open and flowing... i'm running 2.5 custom bend of the axel with a fart can... its REALLY loud and got louder as the packing in the fart can started breaking down.

I think you need a longer resonator. Maybe 16" or more.

Or you may have a leak somewhere. Check the welds where the hangers are.

you're correct......that's the difference between fiberglass and stainless steel packing. Obviously stainless steel is going to hold up better.
Goes back to the old saying....you get what you pay for.

I am not 100% sure if there is a resontor in there. The flange was used...but in good condition. it was a dual flange with 2.5" opening. The exhaust isn't cheap the metal is strong and the cat is brand spanking new....the only thing is at around 3k-4k it sounds ricey...after and before that....it's relatively silent....I had a chance to run the car up the coast of Ca this week...and it performed like a dream the resonance in the car wasn't nearly as bad as i had thought. I'll take a look at those welds near the brackets....they look clean to me.....but never hurts to 2x check.

Pick up a resonator and put one in there, it will get rid of the raspy sound.

It happens over time. I have custom pipe with a resonator and an N1 style muffler from ebay. Over the 6 month period since it was done, it has gradually gotten louder and now has a hint of rice. I don't want to know what it would sound like without the res. Definitely look into getting one.
