Default Hookin a ReX ?

Hey guys im looking to get a crx. i wanna buy a hoop and fix it up like do everything my self so i can learn how to do stuff and have a nice car. anyway i was wondering if you guys think its worth getting the SI model. i will probably be swapping a b series motor into it later down the line, so the motor isn't the biggest deal. are there any other differences with the si ? i know the sun roof but if thats it should i just get a lower model and save some money ? also how hard is it finding stock parts/aftermarket parts ? thanks for your help

The sunroof rusts...badly.
You might be better of with a DX, and swap over the goodies you want.

Get either a hf or si since they're already MPFI..
88 HF is the lightest 2nd gen crx..
90-91 SI's have 4-wheel disc brakes..
It's gonna be real hard to find a crx without rust in the Northeast..

If its just light surface rust.you can grind/samd it off and paint...
Some people are **** about any rust including surface rust and will still cut out panels even if it's not needed...but it's up to you how you go about fixing the problem...
But if its rotted through you will have to cut out the rust and metal around the rust and weld in new metal...Any good body shop could do it..Just make sure they've fixed rust before...
