Default a/c on a STD model

I have a STD model Civic hatchback, and I later plan on doing a b16 swap. is it possible for me to have a/c installed on my b16? i use my car as a daily driver, and it gets pretty hot here in the summertime so rolling down my windows doesnt do the job. I dont care if i lose like 2hp because of it, i just want to know if it can be done, what i will need, and how much it could cost. can anyone help?

Should not be a problem. You'll need to by a AC bracket to fit the sanden or which compressor u use. I went with HASPORT AC Bracket.

as long as your car already has a/c, you can retain it with the hasport bracket or a del sol bracket. both are around $200

after searching:

its all in there.

good luck.

^^ I have a 1988 STD Civic Hatch with Air Conditioning

it was an option fyi

As for adding it; a donor car may be your best bet. You need the bracket, all the piping, the condensor, the evaporator and evap box, the compressor obviously, the pulley bracket, the piping route mount under the battery, the A/C grommit, the belt and the climate controls with A/C, and then do all the wiring. After it's hooked up and working you'll need a charge from an auto-shop (usually in the $100 range).

If you're willing I'll trade you my A/C climate controls for your Non-AC controls.

I also have a compressor, bracket, and pulley for sale. I pulled all mine out because I don't use it much here in NY. Only for 2 months of the year maybe it's hot enough to need AC... but I can see the use in Cali.

BTW I violently removed mine after becoming frustrated at piping bolts that refused to come loose. So the condenser, evap, and piping are garbage.
