Default What are Your Thoughts on the HKS dual exhaust???

My buddy just picked one up. Man it sounds so good, very low, not pingy or ricey at all. I love exhaust systems that allow u to still hear the motor over the car

Honestly... I think its crap. It doesnt give you any power gains plus it doesnt shed much weight from stock.

The stock exhaust does not weigh 60 lbs lol, it weighs more like 42 and 50 including the cat and maybe 65 if you include the header.

why not purchase an exhaust for your s2000 based on a performance stand point instead of blowing money on sound?

well main reason is becuase an exhuast will not give your s2000 very much performance.... 0-5rwhp at max.. and thats if you're lucky.. unless you have sometime to tune and dial it in....also a lot of s2000 exhaust have a very very bad drone that gets very annoying really quickly... now on the other hand.. if you got major deep pockets you can spend 1600 bucks on an amuse exhuast and you'll be set... but even that doesn't give you much rwhp...

Or you can spend ~$750 on a fujitsubo legalis R and get good quality, sound, and performance.

Btw, your friend sitting in the car in the pic looks like a stunna.

Yeah, thats the one and only thing I like about my Invidia. It looks sweet but the sound is killing me. The fujitsubo isn't all that bad though, it is very clean looking, it almost looks like a stainless stock exhaust.

vs.

I know I wouldn't like the appearance of the silencers installed. Sure they may not be easily noticeable but if they are visible at all it would bother me. I want it super quiet too, I am aiming for just a few db's over stock.. I thought about installing bigger resonator(s) on my invidia but if that didn't work out then I'd be stuck with a hacked up invidia. I wish\hope invidia makes a new system with longer mufflers and a bigger resonator. If anyone wants my invidia, $450 takes it.
