-b16 engine..ls auto tranny..b series axles...96-98 auto ex ecu..driver side mount??

-could i use an engine harness from a 96-98 ex auto civic to keep from running any additioanl wires prior to using the stock non-vtec wires??ive heard that i have to use an obd2(96-98)tranny..is this correct??..please fill me in the missing parts..thanx all

Why not get an auto swap? B16s come in auto too. And for the wiring, get an OBD 2 motor, use your stock harness and ad the vtec, and knock sensor wires. You could do the EX harness, but its harder to find, and still have to wire the knock sensor.

call hmotorsonline.com, Steve is the owner and gets me all my motors. I just referred him in another thread, and im not trying to hype them up, but hasnt done me wrong in two years.

any b series tranny will work, use a p30 ecu, and you have to use a vtec wiring harness.

I will warn you, if you plan on doing an auto bseries swap, you're going to have one hell of a time wiring up the TCM (tranny control module) for the transmission. Only way to get get around that is to get the JDM B16 auto tranny. The JDM auto tranny does not have a TCM from what I was told.
