just installed the avic in the integra, disappointed. hate integra set up
im just ranting here. i just installed the pioneer avic into my integra, and as usual, the screen hits the console. for the cc workers out there honda's/acura's use the metra 99-7898 dash kit, and i put the avic on top, pocket bottom and the screen hit the console right away, then i flipped it and put the pocket on top and screen on bottom, it comes out but still at an angle so i cant see it correctly. i just wish our dc's had a better audio set up. my coworkers who have screens in their cars (rsx, 97+ prelude) all have excellent viewing from their screens with no mods at all. the dash kit would also try to pop out because of all the wires so i had to tap some screws in the side of the dash kit to hold it down( i wish we had iso mounts on dc's). im thinking tomorrow ill use a din/dash spacer and space the screen out. im pretty sure itll space it out enough so i can view it correctly, but its going to look much nastier(more than it already is) and the cup holders are basically useless now. im considering selling the avic and picking up that kenwood double din

i havent played with the avic much (less than 5 minutes) but the avic is top of the line at the moment and will be for like a year right? so i dont really want to replace it.. im thinking spacing it out is the only real option but i just hate how it will look and it barely clears my shift **** as is
