88 crx suspension??
actually 88 civic/crx suspension is identical to the 89-91 cars, except for the rear lower control arm and strut. if you find a better deal on 89-91 suspension get that and just get the newer lca's for the rear. i actually put 93 integra struts on my 88 hatch (the snow beater), i just swapped my rear lca's for the integra ones and everything bolted right up. never seen a ef with a 2.5 inch lift have you. its amazing in the snow.

I'd use the 89-91 civic lcas. The integra lcas are straight and if you look closely you will see that your bushing is not parallel with the lca. The 89-91 lcas are offset so that the bushing is straight.
I noticed this when i did my es bushing install.

yeah the arms are slightly different the 89-91 would be the better choice but the integra would work if it had to. it does on my beater. and as to why change it. well honda did, it must be better. the 88 design was for 1 year on those cars and that was it, they upgraded. you could probably pick up a set of lca's for 10 bucks at a junk yard. the itr stuff is cool and all but that strut was designed for a much heavier car so it would be very stiff and the valving would be also be off. the crx is signifigantly lighter than an r. the rear would be like a rock.

I maybe wrong, and correct me if I am. I believe that all the jdm CRX's, Civics, and Integras had the eyeball style on the rear. And that only the north american market got the fork style?

Eyeball style? Fork? Little lost somebody help me understand so I can be of some assistance.
Also I know the 88 CRX has the different rear lca. But I was under the impression that the front shock was also bigger. Can somebody correct me?

88 lca's use eyeball style (strut goes inside lca) and 89-91 use fork style (strut goes around lca).
