Who wants to be first to own a Yamaha YZR-M1 MotoGP bike?
Too bad Rossi beat us to it. Yamaha gave him the same M1 he rode to win the 2004 GP. Makes me wonder if he can register it and get Insurance

depends on which one, and whether its a real bike that's been in a race or one that is just motogp spec but never raced...

This is a big deal. You guys do know that even the race teams that race the rc211v don't own them, right? Those teams only rent them, and they pay 1.5 million for the yr to rent it.

They cant be bought. If you havent noticed these bikes are used also to model the new bikes after. The new Honda RRs were based on the RC211V and soon to come the new $60,000 Desmo Duc is based on the GP desmo Duc. There is also rules that limit the new technology used on the new street bikes. Cant remember off the top of my head but I think they have to wait a year or so before they can produce a production bike based on the new GP bikes.
