Default Anybody here ever buy a swap from ebay?

I was just searching ebay and found this b16a1 swap for my crx which is what i wanted and it brings the linkage, tranny, motor, ecu, distributor, manifold and wire harnes......but it says that the harness is cut, unless I request it not to be cut(maybe more$) does it matter to me that its cut? They are asking 1500 with free shipping, is that good? also has anyone ever bought from ebay? Dont know if its a good site to trust.

I've bought 3, one never arrived. Don't worry about ebay, worry about the people on it. Shop smart, and be careful. I got fucked on one from a guy with just a couple feedback, go with the bigger places. Don't worry about the harness, you won't need it. 1500 for everything isn't bad.

Adding wires to the stock harness is easier.

I purchased my gsr from ebay, it was a importer of jdm engines. It was the only place I could find a hydro lsd swap. It came no problem, but ya, its the people on eaby that are shady, not ebay itself. My gsr was way clean.

I wouldnt exactlly trust ebay , for buying a big item like that, shop around. Iam sure you can find good deals and motors if you try hard enough . Ill give you a website Jprmotorsport.com ask for Jimmy. That where I got my motor from 1st gen B16 for $ 1600 for a complete motor, Axels, Pr3 ECU, motor mounts etc, or you can go with LS-VTEC either one. Good luck

my friedn bought a D16z6 and had it installed by the person(we were younger and none of us had ever swapped b4) all for 500 bucks...he got a good ebay deal. be carefull of the people you buy from. ebay stores = better, ebay people = look for alot of feedback...if they have under 100 at least check there history...stay away if they havea 100 diollars in baby clothes for .02 cents each that = bad njust do research b4 u buy u should be alright
