Car sometimes will not go into gear...
I was driving my car around today.I recently did a fidanza flywheel and oem style clutch on the car. When i drive the car hard in 1st gear...shifting around 6500-7k it will not go into gear.It also makes a very weird noise almost like a whistling/howling noise.i had too adjust the pedal too alow more freeplay then usual for the car too engage its clutch. When i did not have this freeplay it was not even driveable.Im wondering if you think its a bad master cylinder....air in lines(although a steady stream is coming out)....or needs more adjusting..or something else?Any one ever have this problem? Thanks
check your slave cylinder. i had problems with mine acting up and leaking but only sometimes. after being stranded at work at 1am a few too many times i decided to just replace the darn thing instead of having to find somebody to help me bleed it just so i could drive home. also, while you're at it, check your release bearing, make sure you lubed it right and installed in correct direction, and lubed the fork that moves it, and check the finger thing that the slave cyl uses to actuate the fork.

if it's not in the hydro system i'm voting for something like improperly tightened bolts holding the pressure plate to the flywheel or something like that. i highly doubt it's the master cylinder, although it might be the slave.
also, you might want to check on that "OEM Style" clutch. a lot of those kits i see are real trash. make sure the company isn't junk, or that they don't get their stuff from Exedy and modify it in any way.

u should check the alignment of the clutch or the release bearing it could cuase the car not 2 shift into gear usually a leaking slave cylinder will make it grind b'c of the clutch not releasing all the way ur best bet would b 2 take it all apart and make sure u have everything installed right b/c in the long run the effort is worth it
The clutch is from a autoparts place...I think it is something in the hydro lines now.I believe my fluid has been droping.Yesterday it was full, then i pressed the slave cylinder in and it shot the fluid back into the resevoir. Then later on it seemed like it lost some fluid??
