2003 Kawi ZX6RR VS. 2003 HONDA CBR600RR
I am in the market for a new bike and I'm looking for your opinions between these two bikes. I know this is a Honda forum, but most of you guys are pretty level headed so hopefully I can get some unbiased opinions.
As far as I can see these bikes are pretty damn evenly matched. Is this is a matter of preference or what? The kawi can be had for slightly cheaper but unfortuanately only comes in green(color is NOT a very big determinant for me when purchasing this bike) The RR is a tad more expensive but has more color choices and is more appealing to the eye(imo) so what do you guys think?

Hmm...tough decision. Both are beautiful and highly capable bikes. I guess it comes down to which one you like more looks and comfort wise??
Ride each one, and you will have a preference. Choose the one that feels better and disregard how it looks.
In detail, I base my decisions on comfort and useable power (in the midrange, where I ride). Everything else comes after that but you have to make your own priorities. I recommend writing them down in order, ride each bike and assign a score to each priority. Tally up the total and buy the one that scores highest.

i sat on the RR and it felt way too small for mefor everyday street riding ... hence the f4i ... of course i'm 6'2 200lbs ... my friend who's 5in 50lbs lighter obviously thinks differently ... and that's fine, i ride my bike as my main mode of transport and the rr wasn't for me....i'm sure it'd be awesome on the track thou

Do you really NEED a super sport bike? I track my bike up 3-4 times per year. I think it's a blast. The other 90% of my riding is totally recreational. Canyons/mountains and cruising. The way I see it is these bikes arent that expensive in the big picture. And the price difference between the RR's and f4i, 636 is negligible. I have more fun leaning and taking turns that going in a straight line so why not pick up the best handling bike out there? Even though I will more than likely not use it to it's full potential.

I love yamahas but I'm just not a fan of the R6 and I dont need a liter bike for what I do. Ive never liked suzukis for some reason, they are bad *** performing bikes but I have really just never beena a fan.

If you want the kawi in more colors get the 6r...the damn bike looks the same just has more colors and a few more CCs. Oh and it is cheaper than the 6rr.
Get the new SUPERBIKE Nov.04,MOTOR CYCLIST Nov. 04, and SPORTS RIDER Dec. 04 it has the bikes that you are looking at and a few that might catch your eye.
SPORTS RIDER ranks
1. gxsr-600
2. r6
3. zx-6r
4. zx-6rr
5. 600rr
Based on comfort,engine,suspension,equipment, and price.

First of all dont listen to a magazine. Trust me dont buy the 03 zx6rr. Many of them are rediculously low on power. Compare the 636 if you want to compare 03's. Kawi tried to fix everything on the 04's but they already burned a bunch of their customers. All new 600's are great bikes, you can't go wrong with any of them. Go test ride em / sit on em and see what feels most comfortable to you.

i have an 04 zx6r 636 and i think its great..6rr suppose to handle way better than the 636. i rode both bikes before.. the 6rr and the 600rr..
600rr feels really small..and comfort wise, i cant really feel it. riding position a pretty aggresive. long rides will probably take out your back. but as far as i know, hondas have its reputations to have the best suspension/ handling. there are a few color choice for this.
6rr its a little bigger. good suspension as well..but im not sure if its better than the 600rr. comfort wise..i tend to feel it better than the 600rr. taking long rides i can bare with. its not going to be your back thats gonna go out, you'll feel it in your wrist. green is the way to go if you're gonna go kawi.
well its just my opinion on these bikes because i have ridden both. giving some positive and negatives. still, you need to test ride both of them to see which one you like better. good luck!

you want the 636 for the street - the 6RR is geared for the track and as noted only available in green.
Hard to choose between the 2 but I would think for everyday use, the Honda would be better with the Kawi gettin the nod for more track type use.
Either way yer not gonna lose.

It does doesn't it?
I just got the kawi. Originally I was going to get the Sv650 but I found a good deal on a used 04 Ninja so I jumped on it. I still have to fix the R6 so that will be a side project.
