Turbo! Turbo! Turbo!

Good luck with it. What kind of tuning are you getting done? Hondata, E-Manage, etc?

(see link in my sig, there's a lot of turbo owners in here. And lots of turbo haters too. And both turbo and N/A guys with blown up motors )

id look into a good fuel mangement and a good tuner to tune it. i just took me friends 98 type r motor apart the other night, stock block and internals, block guard, inline pro head gasket, and greddy turbo kit. motor was perfect inside nothing broken or cracked. he drove it for 2 years everyday to school and back, 15psi, on pump gas. the only reason we took it apart is that he just bought a built bottom end because he wanted a freasher bottom end to make more power with. so you can have a realiable turbo powered R if you dont short cut yourself.

It is all about the tuning. Just make sure you have a good one and you will have a fast and reliable car.

this was my motor... I couldn't believe it looked soo good inside. inline pro head gasket was the best investment I have ever made. I didn't even have a good fuel management system I just was sure to take care of the car with oil changes and stuff and didn't beat on it.....too much.

my stock ITR motor had 92k miles on it ran .9 bar on the street and 1.1 bar at the track

on high boost with your power you should hit them for sure on slicks....would actually be pretty close on street tires....good luck dude. just make sure you do all the maintanance when it needs done and don't beat on it too much and it will last no problem. you can see by my sig that it probably made around 300whp or so and like I said the internals were PERFECT even with 92k on em

its still a virgin motor. run some more miles out of it. then rebuild it at the same time.

this has been covered many times, but youll be fine with 5-7 psi. i have injectors, aem ems, and some other stuff for turbo for sale. pm me if your interested. why boost 7 psi when you can go 16 psi or more

Depends one what you mean by bad. In terms of running higher boost, yes, high compression limits the amount of boost you can ulitmately run. But in terms of response and powerband, higher compression + boost = great.

There is a user ( Tony the Tiger ) who has a 11.5:1 bottom end with ITB's and runs ~12psi through a GT28RS. Boost response is almost instant at even low RPM's. Responds like an N/A motor basically, but with more power.
