Default 156hp correct???

I finally got into the shop today and got my 1994 integra gsr on it. I have the standard i/h/e, cam gears, pulley kit, clutch kit, 7lb flywheel, high flow cat., and was wondering if my car should be makin more than 156 only with those mods? are the numbers correct?

you do realize that half of the things you listed don't actually create horsepower...

At the crank, not the wheels.

example... itrs are 195 at the crank and about 160 at the wheels.

now with the turbo ls/vtec (8 psi) i got 207. AND IT FEELS GOOD!!

yea it does feel different. You can feel the power change when your driving. as long as i can feel the difference, the numbers dont matter...for now atleast.

Wow! Your a piece of ****

His question was perfectly valid, so stfu.

In conclusion, 156 WHP sounds correct for a mild modded engine such as yours.

Keep on modding

true. I like asking another quesion though. what is the value of whp/tq at crossover and what does the engine response feel like? I have found if
you have the time to tune and can make about 125 at x over and about
165-170whp on GSR gears, you have a smooth driving street car. I would
reccomend to our host that a set of stage1 skunk cams would work nicely
to add about 12-18whp with IHE and vafc. Untuned, IHE from 156 with
stock fuel pressure and a bit of intake cam advance at 17-18BTDC, 170
would be an accurate estimate at 10:1 using the GSR IM and TB without
more precise tuning. you can achieve a nice, flat tq bell and the car will
feel very solid as well. this tends to be a prefrence of mine, by the way.
I am not much into the peaky, poppy VTEC powerband for the longer
GSR gearing. my $.02 it seems like you are making accurate SAE #s
for your setup. I bet I could find you the 4 you lack with basic tricks

you need tuning.....BAD.

you could be making a whole hell of a lot more power....

i pulled 170 w/ i/h/e skunk2 manifold, skunk2 ecu, clutch kit/flywhee, and a skunk2 valve train minus cams(dont ask i bought it this way). i plan to get cams because thats what EVERYONE is recomending to me.

those are good numbers IMO.

to be honest i bought the car from a friend of mine he spent ruffly 2500 on parts not including labor. i rode in the car before and after the build it was an insane differnce!!! IMO but i woud get skun2 stage 1 cam you should be able to make nice power w/ those and maybe even get cam gears. good luck

1- Why would someone put B16 cams in a B18? Is there something beneficial to that?

2- 156whp is about right with those mods. Dynos have a great way of disappointing people.

3- The turbo guy with an LS-VTEC @ 8psi and <250 whp needs some serious tuning. You're probably running rich as hell. How's your gas mileage? Lots of backfire?

156whp is pretty good.. keep in mind too, its a 94.. might wanna do a compression and leak down test to make sure you have even compression across all cyl's.. also might wanna try some sea foam. that'll help your engine run alot smoother and might be able to milk her for a few more ponies

your number seem right for the parts you have. I have a 94 gsr, and theres potential to make it crank out some big numbers if you do the build right and get the right parts. If you do get a single stage manifold, be sure to get a chipped ecu along with that since your gsr ecu wont run the iab's. skunk2 IM will run you about $200-$300. I've seen a couple in the classifieds brand new for $225 shipped or so. Also, cams will make a huge difference as well.

skunk2 manifold. its good you got cam gears cause they let the cams run wild when u put them in.
