how to identify a true type R motor
My buddy is about to buy a CRX with a supposed type R swap? what should he look for on the motor to make sure it is what he says it is? I assume that the block should say b18c5 anything else in particular that he should look for??
a red Valve cover would also be a dead give away. single runner intake manifold, pr3-4 head stamp maybe? also depends if its a usdm or jdm swap the jdm wont say c5 on the block stamp
